Being sustainable is important to my family, and hence Little Balm. Each day we practise making conscious decisions to help make a change to care for the planet we live on.
Clean, toxin-free ingredients
My complete handcrafted range is 100% toxin-free, containing only carefully chosen clean ingredients that are good for your skin and the environment.
My products are packaged in recyclable, repurposable or home compostable containers, such as glass jars, cardboard tubes, aluminum tin and recycled PET jars (which will be phased out once our supplies are used up). Most of my range is available to refill. Balm products are housed in compostable cardboard tubes, sealed with a compostable washi tape. I currently use recyclable vinyl sticker labels on all our products.
Some products have small blemishes on the outside during the handmade creation process, but they are absolutely perfect on the inside. I offer them in the Sale section so we can make an effort to reduce waste together (while you can make at least 30% of savings!).
Partnering with Australian small brands
I support Australian small brands by stocking their handmade products in my store. It is also important to me that all products are responsibly made.
All orders are packed and shipped in biodegradable corn peanuts or paper shreds, and shipped in cardboard boxes with compostable tape/ water-activated paper tape and paper labels. Smaller parcels also come in compostable satchels. Shipping labels are also compostable! Please recycle or repurpose product containers and shipping supplies for your next gift/ craft projects.
Carbon neutral deliveries
I use carbon neutral delivery services, like Sendle and Australia Post, to send your parcels. These delivery partners are committed to offset emissions of every single shipment by investing equally in environmental projects worldwide. My new online payment platform Shop Pay also offsets delivery emissions for each order. When you check out with Shop Pay in my store, you help to protect and plant trees and reduce the environmental impact of shopping online.
